Gay Pride New Orleans takes place June 22-24, 2012. Be there!
Gay Pride has a long history in New Orleans. It began in 1971 with a “Gay In” picnic in City Park. In 1978, it became an established annual event known as “Gay Pride”. The first Gay Pride Parade took place in 1980.
Over the years, Gay Pride New Orleans has seen many changes. It has moved from June to the fall and back to June again. It has been in Washington Square, then Armstrong Park, and then it moved back to Washington Square. It will undoubtedly see more change in the future, but it will always take place.
The complete schedule of New Orleans Gay Pride has yet to be released. Visit Gay Pride New Orleans for up-to-date information.
In the meantime, make reservations in a New Orleans Bed and Breakfast.
