November 10th, 2014 by Corey A. Edwards

Oak Street Po-boy Festival

The Oak Street Po-Boy Festival may be the celebration of a sandwich but make no mistake – the Po-Boy is not just any old sandwich. If New Orleans was a sandwich, that sandwich would be a Po-Boy.

For those not in the know (oh, how I feel sorry for you) a Po-Boy is akin to a submarine sandwich or lobster roll, typically filled with meat or seafood, with the defining characteristic being the New Orleans-style French bread it’s made on: a crisp crusted baguette with a fluffy center. New Orleans’ Dirty Linen Night

July 20th, 2014 by Corey A. Edwards

New Orleans' Dirty Linen Night 2014 PosterDirty Linen Night is an arts, food, and drink block party held on the second Saturday night of every August on Royal Street in the French Quarter – and if you come looking a bit disheveled, you’ll fit right in!

Similar to White Linen Night (which we discussed last post), Dirty Linen Night is a free party held to promote businesses in the Warehouse Arts District of New Orleans – sometimes also called the “Soho of the South.”

Running of the Bulls in New Orleans

The Running of the Bulls in New Orleans

The fun in the French Quarter continues with the Running of the Bulls (San Fermin en Nueva Orleans), July 12-15. While not quite as death defying as the Pamplona, Spain tradition, it’s still a great excuse to run screaming through the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans.

After days and nights of music and culture, come home to your New Orleans Bed & Breakfast Inn. There’s no better way to stay when you’re in New Orleans. Click here to find your New Orleans B&B.
