San Fermin en Nueva Orleans:

San Fermin en Nueva Orleans - The New Orleans Running of the Bulls! You’ve heard of the bull run in Pamplona, Spain but did you know New Orleans has its own Running of the Bulls? New Orleans Summer: Essence, Bastille Days & the Running of the Bulls

July 1st, 2012 by bbnola

In July, the summer events hit all time highs with Essence Music Festival, Bastille Days and the Running of the Bulls.

From July 5-8, 2012, experience world class African American music and talent at the Essence Music Festival. The Main Stage and Superlounge will be at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, with a free block party at Champions Square. The Essence Marketplace & Art Expo at the Convention Center will feature vendors with wares and cuisine from around the world.

Commemorating the start of the French Revolution, we celebrate Bastille Days in New Orleans July 8-15. A week of events will culminate in an evening fireworks display on Friday, July 13 and an eventful Saturday on July 14 with food, music, contests and more.

The Running of the Bulls in New Orleans

The fun in the French Quarter continues with the Running of the Bulls (San Fermin en Nueva Orleans), July 12-15. While not quite as death defying as the Pamplona, Spain tradition, it’s still a great excuse to run screaming through the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans.
