Sully Mansion Bed & Breakfast

Enjoy a lifestyle of years gone by without sacrificing any modern day conveniences. The Sully Mansion is the only licensed bed and breakfast in the Garden District in one of the few building designed by Thomas Sully still standing in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Our eight guest rooms (two King Suites, three queens, one double queen and two doubles) are decorated in period pieces, all have private bathrooms and vary in size and atmosphere yet share a sense of splendor and comfort.  From our free safe parking, Wifi services, morning wake up coffee service and guest bar, we promise you will feel well taken of. If you prefer to spend your time exploring our fascinating city, we are the perfect location. One block from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and easy access to the French Quarter as well as Tulane and Loyola Universities and Audubon Park. Four short blocks from the inn takes you to Magazine street which offers miles of one of a kind boutiques, antiques stores and restaurants. We are around the corner from the world famous Commanders Palace in a safe pedestrian friendly part of town with a private security service.

We offer an expanded continental breakfast during the week featuring home baked goods and a full southern gourmet breakfast on the weekend. The inn is decorated with original art by New Orleans artists (many art pieces are for sale) and offers many special spots to relax. Our wrap around porch is perfect for breakfast or an evening cocktail where you can sit back, watch the carriages drive by, or be surrounded by jasmine while you recline on our lounge chairs in our side garden. Perhaps you just want to read in the shade, then  our private container garden is just the spot for you. We welcome helping you plan your evening out on the town providing weekly updated listing of best bets occurring in music, festivals, theater, art and dance. If food is your passion let us help select your dining choices and make all your reservations. We offer full concierge services to plan your spa day, city and plantation or swamp tours or a round of golf. Check our web site for special seasonal and romance packages and come share your time with locals who love the city and sharing it with their guests.

The Sully Mansion is an exceptional jewel—great location, beautiful antique furnishings, gourmet breakfast, plus over-the-top hospitality. We loved everything about it and will definitely stay there next time we are in New Orleans. Guy and Nancy Fournier went out of their way, repeatedly, to ensure we had a great stay. Amenities included the most comfortable bed ever away from home, a serene ambiance, work of local artists on the public area walls, a porch to hang out, talk and read amid beautiful gardens and shade trees. Quiet, out of the way, yet one block from the St. Charles Ave streetcar with easy access to downtown, Tulane, the zoo, and French Quarter. Ample street parking, and amazing breakfasts! Oozing charm and grace of the Garden District and New Orleans.

First of all Nancy and Guy (Gee) were the most gracious hosts.Pretty cool folks I may add.I was down for the Jazz and Heritage festival.Every restaurant recommendation they made they nailed it.They even made some reservations for us.As for Sully Mansion it was abeautiful well kept clean B&B located in the very beautiful garden district of New Orleans a block or so from Lafeyette Cemetary.Safe parking, centrally located to many clubs and restaurants and roughly 15-20 mins. to the French Quarter. It was my first time to New Orleans with many more visits hopefuuly to come.I will always plan to stay at Sully Mansion. If you don't go , you will truly miss out on some good old fashion southern hospitality.

This inn is so convenient - just a block from the streetcar line in the Garden District. It was so easy to park the car and ride streetcars to the French Quarter and the Warehouse District. We didn't drive the car for 2 days! The breakfasts were fantastic. There was a variety of breads and fruit and yogurt and then the main course. The Stuffed French Toast was fantastic - the best we've had. Hospitality was great also.

Nancy and Guy, the hosts were very gracious, solicitous and made my stay wonderful. It is a beautiful mansion which is furnished with lovely antique style furnishings. It is very warm, comfortable and located in the beautiful Garden District which is close to the St. Charles Streetcar. I cannot recommend the Sully Mansion enough.

I had the pleasure of staying with Nancy, Guy & Gracie following a major surgical operation. I live out of state and needed a comfortable, homey place to stay. My stay couldn't have been more perfect! Nancy & Guy are incredibly gracious, thoughtful, and charming. And Gracie...I can't wait to play tug-of-war again. D~

My husband and I stayed at the Sully Mansion in July 2008. Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived. We were in a hurry to get to a meeting that was about to begin. We called ahead and Nancy met us at the door with key in hand and we were on our way! Our room had a very warm charming feeling and was very comfortable. The breakfasts always had variety and was presented in a very elegant manner. We felt like very special guests! Nancy and Guy were attentive to our every need (umbrellas, local restaurants and shopping referrals, available transportation, etc); including a tour of the house and its historial significance. Staying in the Garden District was grand. This historic area is a must see for anyone visiting New Orleans. We used the street car to get around and found it very accommodating and inexpensive. We bought a pass for 3 days which worked out great. Nancy and Guy made our stay very enjoyable, adding to our love of bed and breakfasts. We're honored to recommend Sully Mansion as a must stay in New Orleans! Rick and Bernadette Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Inn was a great place to stay. Room was great, service great. The really special thing was how incredibly helpful the innkeepers were in helping us in learning the area. We were looking for housing for my son, who will be a law student at Tulane. The help and caring attitude from Guy and Nancy was really special;.

Our weekend in new Orleans was picture perfect due to our very comfortable stay at the Sully Mansion. The mansion truly has kept its period charm yet offers the modern conveniences we expected. Nancy and Guy even went out of there way at my friends request to pick up a bottle of champagne and flowers for our arrival! The accommodations were beautiful and the hospitality was top notch. Breakfasts were our favorite meal of the day! Very reasonably priced as well.

My family held a reunion at the Sully Mansion. We found the proprieters, Nancy and Guy Fournier, to be a lovely, thoughtful and interesting couple. Nancy actually helped plan the event months in advance and made sure that each guest's needs were anticipated before their arrival. The B & B has been lovingly restored by its hosts, and is both elegant and comfortable. Many thoughtful touches and great attention to detail are evident throughout, making it even more delightful and inviting. (The rooms are far more beautiful than they appear in the website pictures.) Nancy and Guy love New Orleans and are more than happy to suggest places to go and provide directions. Their homemade breakfasts are wonderful. We left with Nancy's apple waffle recipe, and she packed a breakfast for the guests who left early. Needless to say, our event was a tremendous success and we all loved our stay at the Sully Mansion

The Sully Mansion is a beautiful place with welcoming hosts and we were delighted to be staying there. Nancy and Guy have a wealth of information about the city and about Tulane that they were happy to share with us. The breakfasts were delicious, with home baked pastries and croissants and a variety of fresh fruits. The location in the Garden District was ideal for enjoying the city and relaxing. We rode the streetcar many times, which was one block from the mansion. It is a magical sort of place that would make anyone feel both at home and in a wonderful exotic land, simultaneously. We would highly recommend the Sully Mansion.

I always feel at home staying at the Sully - great location, personable innkeepers, lovely furnishings, delicious breakfast. Fodors recommended the Sully before the current owners...they should return with Nancy and Guy. I think they would be rated with a "star" for Fodors Choice.

Home away from home! Right when I crossed the doors of the Sully Mansion, I felt at home. Nancy and Guy are amazing hosts. They made me feel that I had known them forever. They will help you with anything, you just have to ask. Breakfast is delicious and fresh. The rooms are very clean, cozy and welcoming. Privacy is assured. They have a lovely front porch where you can sit, maybe have a beer while browsing on internet using their wireless network. The neighborhood is beautiful and the Mansion is at a walking distance from the streetcar. I will never forget my stay there and will want anyone I know to experience this. Nancy will do her best to accommodate last minute bookings (she did it for me) but better to book early to make sure you’ve got a spot.
